Down an alleyway, behind a gate.

Barlows Mews sits in the centre of Henley-on-Thames, down a small alleyway off the high street — past the local florist — and into a private gated development of just three houses. You're a minute from the shops and the river, but you'd never know it from the patio.

Downstairs you've got a living room that opens onto a private patio, a fully fitted kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, and a WC/shower. Upstairs there are two comfortable double bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath.

The TV runs Freeview plus a Roku device for streaming over the high-speed internet. The sofa in the living room can be made up as double bed, sleeping up to two extra guests.

Practical: washing machine (no tumble drier), iron and ironing board. We can also provide a travel cot and high chair (please let us know in advance). For stays of two weeks or more, we include a complimentary mid-stay clean.

Good to know.

  • Parking is not on-site. You can unload at the end of the mews, but the car needs to move after. Greys Road or one of the long-stay car parks is the practical answer — see Getting Here.
  • Extra guest surcharge. Up to 4 guests included in the price. It's £10 per person per night extra for 5 or 6 guests. If you are 4 or less, but want to use the sofa bed, let us know and it is a £20 one-off charge for bedding.
  • Stays of two weeks or more include a complimentary mid-stay clean. Stays of 35+ nights get an automatic 15% length-of-stay discount.
  • Self check-in via the key safe — code sent the day before arrival.
